These are strange times. No fireworks this year here in Melbourne and chances are Sydney will call off the annual festivities as well. Or perhaps the council will allow a modest version to go ahead, with strict controls and checks on the spectators present.
An understandable decision considering the state the world is in a the moment, however, a strange situation nevertheless…
Here in Australia and New Zealand, we sympathize with all our friends, especially in Europe and the US / Canada.
Fortunately, here in New Zealand and Australia, Covid-19 is well under control after a number of strict lock-downs: the number of infections is negligible.
However, our friends and customers (many of whom have also become friends over the years) on the other side of the world are still in the thick of it.
We’ll be fine though: local tourism continues here, but as mentioned, we feel for everyone affected on your side of the world.
We all know that at some point this horrible situation will be behind us and that normal life, or maybe a slightly ‚modified version of normal‘, will return.
This also applies to Tourism.
The expectation within our sector is that 2021 can be more or less written off with regard to international travel, just like 2020, but that everything will be back to normal again in 2022.
We are fortunate and grateful for the fact that we are already processing a large number of new vehicle reservations for 2022. In particular the 4wd season is filling up rapidly.
Are you, like us, positive about what the future has to offer?
And, also like us, are you enthusiastic about what Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada and South Africa and Namibia have to offer in terms of natural beauty and culture?
Then please do not hesitate to contact us about your 2022 travel plans. No obligations, we will be very happy to inform you what the options are!
kindest regards,
on behalf of the TotallyCampers and Totally4wdCampers management team:
