It may be wise to be informed about using the toll roads around Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before you step on the plane heading for Australia. Toll roads in Australia are easy to use and save lots of time to travel through or around these large cities. But there are not toll booths and it is your responsibility to pay the tolls within 3 days by phone and your credit card. Failing to do so will result in hefty fines which are easy to avoid.
